Outreach Worker

We are looking for a full-time Outreach Worker to join our team, someone who shares our values and can support adults linking to NHR supported accommodation and statutory and community based support services through establishing strong links whilst undertaking the role of an Outreach Worker.  NHR supports individuals who have addiction issues and/or multiple complex needs. We are looking for an Outreach worker within a busy fast paced environment. We pride ourselves on putting the individual first and aiding them to work towards living independently. Outreach Worker role


New Hope Rehabilitation are looking to recruit an experienced Outreach Worker who will be responsible for reaching out to homeless individuals in various settings who have addiction related issues this could include multiple needs including: Homelessness, Substance Misuse, Offending and/or Mental Health.  This role will aid individuals to access support through gaining a placement within an abstinence based, recovery focused setting.  In addition, the outreach worker will assist individuals in accessing additional support through linking Statutory and Community based services to the clients’ individual needs

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with adults who have substance misuse issues and/or multiple complex needs.  The Outreach Worker will be responsible for making links with GP’s, hospitals, local housing departments, probation services, supported housing providers, substance misuse and mental health providers and other VCS organisations.  This may include promotion and marketing of services through creating presentations targeting larger audiences.

NHR are looking for someone that is self-motivated, can work on their own initiative but more importantly work as a part of the Team.  It will be imperative to have excellent communication and organisational skills being able to understand clearly the needs of people who have experienced homelessness and addiction.

NHR Staff Team have a vast amount of experience and believe in the Peer Led model having the majority of the Team coming with Peer Led experience within the field of addiction.  NHR have knowledge of and support the 12 Step Programme engaging individuals with recovery focused meetings and support within the community.
