Job Role:  Specialist Addiction Recovery Worker

Hours:     37.5hrs per week  

Salary:     £27,000 per annum

Report to:  Managing Director and Operations Manager

We are looking for a full-time Specialist Addiction Recovery Worker to join our team, someone who shares our values and can support adults living within NHR supported accommodation.  NHR supports individuals who have addiction issues and/or multiple complex needs. We are looking for an experienced Specialist Addiction Recovery Worker within a busy fast paced environment. We pride ourselves on putting the individual first and aiding them to work towards living independently. We offer excellent training within a supportive team environment. 

The role

New Hope Rehabilitation are looking to recruit an experienced Specialist Addiction Recovery Worker who will be responsible for working directly with residents to address the needs through focused one to one and group sessions.  

​

NHR Specialist Addiction Recovery Worker will be providing support to individuals who require addiction focused recovery support this would include any residents that may have additional needs highlighted through the referral and/or assessment process to include homelessness, offending and/or mental health issues. 

​

The post holder will build effective relationships with residents, have extensive knowledge around working with people who have addictive behaviours and have worked directly with clients to aid them to progress in becoming free from substances engaging with in-depth focused support  It is essential to have Peer Led experience and knowledge of a variety of programmes including the 12 Step Programme. It would also be advantageous to have experience within a rehab environment.

Experience of working with people who have addictions, people with complex needs including substance misuse, homelessness, offending behaviours and mental health is an essential requirement for this role. It is also essential to have experience of Peer Led and Person-Centred approaches and working with partner organisations to access appropriate support.
